Developer & Publisher Info
Want to rate your video game with the free TIGRS™ rating service?
Get Started! »
It's easy, free, and takes only minutes!
As a publisher of video game products, you may wish to alert your
audience of possibly offensive materials in your game, especially in the world
of downloadable entertainment. Other rating systems exist but can cost thousands of
dollars and take significant time for approval.
In the realm of downloadable entertainment, things simply move much too fast
for waiting periods and delays that can further push back the release of your
product. And if the delays aren't enough, the cost alone can set your profits back
several months, especially for independent publishers and developers.
Enter The Independent Game Rating System (TIGRS™); the absolutely free
rating system designed for the high-speed, global world of downloadable entertainment.
TIGRS™ is free to use for any publisher, developer, or distributor
to rate their video game
product. Website, advertisements, game box, printed materials,
and any other applicable medium are suitable for rating placement! TIGRS™ features a highly readable and
attractive box design that was created from the ground up to help the viewer
quickly identify particular areas of possibly offensive material that are most
important to them. In addition, there is no panel of judges to tell you what
rating your game should receive. After all, you're publishing the game, so you
should know better than anyone, right?
For more information on the rating system, please visit the
TIGRS™ Ratings page.
If you're ready to get started, you have two options:
The Easy Way
This method will ask you to fill out a simple form and automatically
generate the suggested rating based on the TIGRS™ rating
specification. In addition, it will generate HTML code that you can easily
copy and paste into your own website for instant utilization of the system. On the other hand, it won't
generate graphics suitable for printed media. You'll have to do it the
Hard, But Flexible Way for that.
| The Hard, But Flexible Way
With this method, you will have to do all the grunt work yourself. But, there is an
advantage: flexibility. You'll have the option to format the TIGRS Rating Box™ yourself for
more natural integration to your website. In addition, you'll be able to effectively
format the TIGRS Rating Box™ in a fashion that is most suitable for your
printed media, should you need to do so. However, strict adherance
to the TIGRS™ rating specification and TIGRS Rating Box™
specification must be observed.
